November 2016- This photo looks a bit like I’ve been dropped unceremoniously from a great height onto the cold hard ground, which is in fact exactly how this last week has felt. I have some shows next week and the idea of playing them, much less publicizing them, feels deeply trivial to me right now. However, I suppose that now more than ever it’s important to gather together with our fellow humans in as an open-hearted way as we can, and that’s one of the things that live music is for. In that spirit, I’m letting you know that I’ll be visiting these stages around New England and I’d love to share the space and the sounds with anyone who feels like being there.
All of these nights are shared with good friends and that’s my favorite thing about them. In Old Saybrook, CT and Fall River, MA I’ll be joined by Jeffrey Foucault, Billy Conway, and Jeremy Moses Curtis – who comprise most of the band on the new record I’ve been hard at work on. It’ll be nice to air out a few of the new tunes beyond the studio walls, and to be surrounded by musical (and actual) family.
Come along and let’s do our best to lift each other up. *kd
